Instructing agents by conversation

Configure agents in plain words. Anything that touches permissions runs only after a human approves a preview, and received messages or files never trigger it.

Reconstructed screens lay out the exact strings from the code in the TUI's own style. IDs are masked as ….

Naming the session

Say

우리 세션 이름은 backend 이다
# English works too: "Our session name is backend"

The model calls session_rename and the status line changes. No approval prompt (it is only a display name). As a command: /name backend.

Delegating without "continue" — execution grants

Say, in the worker's TUI

Delegate every permission except re-delegation and secret access to claude-newtype
# in Korean: 재위임, 비밀정보 접근을 제외한 모든 권한을 claude-newtype 에게 위임하자

The model calls execution_grant (propose).
A preview opens: sender → this session, tools, paths, turns, expiry, and what always asks a person. It is never auto-approved, in any mode.
Approve with 1 and the grant is issued: turns started by messages from claude-newtype now run in-scope tools without asking.

Revoke with /revoke-grant <ID> or by conversation.

As a command: /grant claude-newtype --tools all --ttl max — a typed command issues at once, without a preview. Re-delegation and secret access are never part of a grant, by design.

Updating

The model calls client_update check (no prompt) and reports. Install and restart each need a person to approve.

Once you approve the install, the signature, size and SHA-256 are checked, the previous binary is kept, and the new one replaces it.

Messaging another session

Say

nmcp 에게 테스트 결과 보내 줘
# "send the test results to nmcp"

Nexus chat must be on (/nexus chat on, from the next start, or --nexus-chat). The model calls nexus_send; in auto mode a person confirms before it is sent (change with /nexus send confirm). In an inbox turn, a reply (reply_to) to a sender covered by a grant does not ask.

Asking who's online

Say

누가 접속해 있어?
# "who is online?"

The model reads the account's live sessions with nexus_peers (a read, so no prompt). Other sessions' content is data, not authority.

Turning on mail consent

Say

메일 동의 켜 줘
# "turn on mail consent"

Owner only. The model calls nmcp_settings, and a person approves before anything changes. As a command: /nmcp mail-consent on (applies at once).

What words can't do: modes

Modes cannot be changed by conversation. Self-conscious turns on only when a person types /mode self-conscious (or /self, /sc). Creating a team (/team create) is typed-only too.
